Job Description
- To prepare monthly Weight Prediction Reports for Topside with input from other disciplines
- To present monthly overall platform weight status to Company with all potential threats and opportunities for overall platform weight
- Produce weighing procedure, Requisition for weighing, Final Weight report after weighing, Analysis of weighing data and participate in weighing related risk analyses, etc.
- Visit site and verify the existence of any temporary items (e.g. scaffolding, welding machines etc.) on the structure during weighing, and any pending installation items (equipment, vessels, tanks, instrument panels, cladding, structural steel etc.) that is yet to be installed on the structure during weighing and issue weight prediction report
- Monitor site weight changes through based on change notices issued by respective disciplines.
- Monitor the changes after weighing completed. Review the weight monitor records from weighing station and from yard lifting crane.
- Highlight any adverse impact in weight and C.o.G. that require Engineering Manager, Client Representative and T&I Site Representative attention.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field. Specialized courses in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer are highly beneficial
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience mechanical engineering, preferably in the marine, offshore or renewable energy sectors
- Good team player and able to work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skill
