Job Descriptions - Junior Cook/Cook Assistance
· Assisting the team with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, and meat
· Keep the kitchen and cooking area tidy and clean, using the ‘clean as you go’ approach to be more effective and efficient
· Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene
· Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
· Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.
· Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
· Responsibilities and Duties: Senior Cook
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely, consistent, and visually appealing manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Communicate effectively with the server to ensure customer orders are fulfilled promptly
- Comply with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- A food hygiene certificate is a plus; otherwise, the company will send you to the course
Job Requirements
· 1-2 year relevant experience (Senior Cook)
. Relevant working experience preferred but not required (Junior cook/Assistance Cook)
· At least secondary school education
· Great personal hygiene and grooming standards
· Experience of kitchen equipment
· Understanding of basic food hygiene practices
· The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work as a team
· Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work
· Must be organized and self-motivated
· Food hygiene certificate preferred
· Able to commit on weekends and public holidays
Working Hours
. OFF ON EVERY MONDAYS
· 6 days, 44 hrs, must able to work Split-Shifts
. Tues to Sat Lunch 10:10am to 2:10pm and Dinner 5:00pm to 9:30/10:20pm (depends on customers crowd)
. Sunday Lunch 10:10am to 2:20pm and Dinner 5:30 to 9:30PM
