Job Description:
As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the store manager with daily operations, ensuring seamless store management, and delivering top-notch customer service. You will oversee sales, staff management, inventory control, and visual merchandising to achieve store objectives. This role is perfect for individuals with strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to drive sales.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Operational Duties:
- Assist the store manager with day-to-day operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and security.
- Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer complaints professionally.
- Resolve challenging situations to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Work closely with the store manager to implement sales strategies and monitor sales performance.
- Assist in budget planning and monitor expenses to ensure profitability.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee store inventory levels, product ordering, and stock management.
- Analyze sales data and make decisions to optimize inventory levels and product assortment.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise and lead store staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Foster a positive work environment and support staff development.
Visual Merchandising:
- Maintain an attractive and organized store layout aligned with the brand image.
- Implement visual merchandising standards and update displays regularly.
Marketing & Promotions:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotions and events aimed at driving footfall and increasing sales.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in retail management, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism.
- Good understanding of the retail environment and industry trends.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and perform physical tasks.
- Flexibility to work retail shift hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Information:
- Salary: Up to $3,500 basic + variable bonus + weekend allowance (discussed during interview)
- Location: Clementi Rd,
- Working hours: Weekday shifts: 8am-6pm / 9am-7pm, Weekend shifts: 8am-5pm / 9am-6pm (depending on roster)
- Working days: 5 days per week (1 weekday and 1 weekend off)
