Job Description:

We need to build an in-house technical capability to demo & deploy robots and machines, as well as keep them in top condition post sale including planned maintenance and repairs.

The technical support will have two main roles; support the sales team during demos and deployments as well as conduct routine repairs on the robots and machines.


Main Tasks:

  • Undergo training and knowledge transfer with an engineer in Singapore.
  • Support and repair robots and machines in the field. This could be electrical, mechanical, hardware components or even software-related repairs.
  • Support the sales team by helping them do demos and deployments at customers' sites.
  • Communicate with local/overseas technical teams to troubleshoot hardware repair problems or problems encountered doing demos and deployments

Requirements:

  • Nitec in Automotive Technology (Light Vehicles) course completion or similar qualification.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competence in troubleshooting wiring and mechanical problems.
  • Ability to use computers (Microsoft Windows, Chrome/Firefox, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • A Drivers license (manual Class 3) is required to drive a truck/big van to transport the robots and machines for demos.
  • Driven individual, passionate about robotics, self-starter.

Bonus:

  • Experience working with robots or complex electro-mechanical devices
  • Hobbies that involve using tools.
  • Experience driving large vehicles such as trucks, pickups, vans etc. The robots will either go in a truck, van, or trailer pulled by a pickup truck. Class 3.
