What you will be working on
As a UX Designer, you will work in an Agency as a key member of the team. You will support the Chief Information Officer at the Agency, working with Agency stakeholders to undertake UX tasks in upstream Discovery and Conceptualisation, as well as Product Development and Delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Consult with stakeholders to understand goals and challenges and propose user-centric approaches to improving products and services to citizens, businesses and public officers.
- Drive user research activities through co-creation workshops, focus group discussions, stakeholder interviews, surveys, and translate research findings into actionable recommendations.
- Create and rapidly iterate on ideas to develop storyboards, user flows, mock-ups, and prototypes, or other methods as needed to prove concepts and demonstrate value.
- Align with corporate design systems and incorporate usability and good customer experience into products and services.
This will involve having good interpersonal and problem solving skills, a sharp analytical mind, and astute design judgment. You will work closely with Product Owners, business analysts, architects and software engineers to continuously design and deliver features for transforming citizen experience and improving agency efficiency.
What we are looking for
- Degree or Diploma in Human Computer Interactions, Design, Psychology, Computer Sciences or related disciplines
- Minimum 8 years of UX experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates your experience in service design, design research, interaction design and product strategy.
- Team player, with experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional team
- Good organisational, presentation, and critical thinking skills
- Expertise with popular design tools and software e.g. Figma, Balsamiq, Axure, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in Agile and UX development environments and frontend development/web development technologies such as HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design will be an added advantage.
