Overview

We are seeking for a highly motivated and skilled Experience Development Manager to lead the design and implementation of innovative experiences that resonate with our diverse visitors – as part of our dynamic Brand Management team for S.E.A. Aquarium (S.E.A.A.) and Singapore Oceanarium (SGO), a first-class institution that champions marine education and protection, launching in 2025.

The team member will take on the role of an experience design expert, leading the development of content for touchpoints within the SGO visitor journey.


Key Responsibilities

Experience Development

  • Oversee the development and implementation of innovative and inclusive exhibition strategies that engage diverse audiences.
  • Lead the planning and development of all visitor touchpoints that enhance the brand experience and strengthen brand affinity, ensuring they align with SGO’s goals and objectives. Visitor touchpoints include and are not limited to onsite platforms, seasonal curated events, exhibitions, brand activations, SGO website and mobile app
  • Collaborate with in-house design and education teams and external designers/ consultants to create engaging, informative and impactful guest experiences.
  • Manage external creative agencies and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality experiences, aligning with project goals, timelines, and budget requirements, while fostering collaboration and driving innovative solutions.
  • Keep abreast of new and emerging marketing and experiential trends across attractions and entertainment industries with a focus on marine conservation and ocean protection.


Content Development

  • Work closely with various internal teams to plan, identify and curate a pipeline of marine science, research and conservation-led content and translate them into compelling relatable brand stories to promote ocean literacy and amplify SGO’s continuous efforts in education, research and conservation.
  • Review and provide brand counsel on content creation related to marine science across different teams in SGO.
  • Be the subject matter expert on accurately interpreting scientific concepts and scholarly information in engaging content that is appropriate for the SGO brand, tone of voice and target demographic.
  • Ensure all content is accessible, inclusive and suitable for a diverse audience.


Project Management

  • Responsible for driving multiple project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely production of high-quality content for various touchpoints in SGO.
  • Drive collaboration and provide support to cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.


This role will report to the Assistant Director of the Brand Management team.


Requirements

  • Degree from a recognised university; in Communications, Environmental Studies, Life Sciences, or any other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in experience design, visitor engagement, event planning, or a similar role.
  • Passion for education, sustainability, and creating experiences that inspire action.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a creative mindset and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong collaborator and able to work across various internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent writing skills required to write compelling and insightful content, preferably with expertise in science communication.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is a plus.
