Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contract Logistics Business Development Manager with a strong background in the medical or pharmaceutical industry. This role is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and providing tailored contract logistics solutions that meet the specific requirements of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Client Acquisition:Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, focusing on contract logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management services.
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment manufacturers, and healthcare organizations.
    Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Market Research & Analysis:Conduct in-depth research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning within the medical and pharmaceutical logistics sector.
    Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and technological advancements affecting medical and pharmaceutical logistics.
  • Solution Development:Work with internal teams to design and propose tailored logistics solutions that meet the specific needs of clients in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, including temperature-sensitive products, regulatory compliance, and product handling requirements.
    Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure smooth implementation and service delivery.
  • Contract Negotiation & Management:Lead negotiations on commercial terms, pricing, and service agreements with clients.
    Oversee contract execution and ensure that the terms of the agreements are met, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with other departments such as operations, legal, and finance to ensure seamless coordination of logistics services for clients.
    Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and strategies targeting the medical and pharma sectors.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Experience:5+ years of experience in business development or sales, specifically in contract logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
    Prior experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry is mandatory, with a deep understanding of industry regulations, handling requirements, and market needs.
  • Skills:Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the logistics or pharmaceutical industry.
    Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    Ability to develop customized logistics solutions, with a focus on temperature control, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
    Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards, such as Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for pharmaceuticals.
    Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Personal Attributes:Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
