COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Located on Jurong Island, the petrochemical hub of Singapore, SRC operates a refinery that is capable of processing 290,000 barrels of crude oil per day to produce fuel products and chemical feedstocks that are supplied to domestic markets and overseas export markets under the brand labels of its shareholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out inspection and repair of atmospheric storage tanks, spheres etc in compliance to API 653. The incumbent should be familiar with API 650 and have capability to review tank design and repair requirements.
- Develop inspection plan and schedule for tanks in collaboration with Operations & Maintenance departments
- Conduct planned inspections for tanks using various techniques such as MFL, UTG Crawler, AUT and crack detection techniques.
- Coordinate with NDT contractors on job scope needed to support inspection work requirements.
- Investigate, analyze and determine root-cause of any failure or inherent defect in equipment/piping so as to make recommendations for alleviating the condition or solving the problem.
- Degree Or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Possess API 653 certification, additional certification in API 510 and 570 would be desirable.
- Familiar with tank coatings and related inspection.
- At least 4 years' relevant experience in inspection of storage tanks and repair.
- Fresh graduates may be considered for entry-level positions and will receive relevant training to be successful in the role.
