Job Title: Business Analyst (Banking / 6 Month Contract)
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the front office as a Business Manager to drive solutions, improve procedures/infrastructure for the Variable Capital Company (VCC) business, and implement end-to-end systematically captured workflows. This includes:
- Pre-trade compliance checks
- Order management
- Trading
- Investment operations
- Risk management/compliance/oversight
- Closed-book accounting
- Performance measurement & attribution
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers/brokers for the setup and maintenance of trading accounts, and with Fund Administrators and Custodians to support fund events, asset transfers, and month-end reporting.
- Initiate negotiations and manage external service contracts with vendors, ensuring service level agreements are met. Also, instigate RFPs and conduct due diligence on new vendors/service providers periodically as contracts end.
- Provide secretariat support for VCC-related committee meetings, including the preparation of presentation materials.
- Review and work with business and support units to ensure VCC compliance with regulatory requirements, including the maintenance of registers and records (e.g., for investors and VCC directors).
- Support and coordinate with relevant parties on operational risk reporting, tax/regulatory filings, audit, insurance-related matters, etc.
- Perform assurance or risk/control-related testing (where required).
- Participate in ad-hoc business development projects.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Up to 2 years of experience in business management, financial services, or a similar role would be advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Interest in the financial services industry and business operations.
