ESG & Sustainability Lead

Spencer Ogden is looking for an experienced ESG & Sustainability Manager to lead and enhance our global sustainability strategy while ensuring compliance with ESG risks and policies across the region. As a key leader, you will drive strategic ESG initiatives, influence key business decisions, and manage regional sustainability efforts in alignment with our global goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Spencer Ogden’s ESG strategy across APAC.
  • Corporate Governance: Ensure corporate ESG policies, sustainability statements, and practices are consistently applied across APAC offices in line with global standards.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of sustainability through employee engagement programs that integrate ESG initiatives into everyday business activities.
  • ESG Data Management: Lead data collection, tracking, and reporting for carbon emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3) to meet reduction targets and drive carbon offsetting initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, HSE policies, and sustainability reporting standards such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, external partners, and vendors on ESG-related projects, including carbon offsetting and sustainability tenders.
  • Commercial & Strategic Impact: Support commercial project development by providing sustainability input for tenders, bids, and proposals, ensuring alignment with the company’s ESG commitments.
  • Charity & Community Engagement: Maintain corporate charity partnerships, integrating social responsibility within ESG strategies.
  • Reporting & Auditing: Ensure the timely submission of ESG reports, carbon targets, and the auditing of environmental practices in accordance with ISO standards.

Experience and Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate social responsibility roles, preferably with a managerial background.
  • Proven track record in driving ESG strategies within the APAC region or professional services sectors.
  • Experience in carbon reporting and managing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and reduction strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and conducting environmental audits.
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams and project management.
  • Experience working in a consultancy or in-house ESG role within the APAC region.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and carbon offsetting projects.
