Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for all finance functions, including hands-on preparation for month-end closing, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for budgeting and forecasting, and variance analysis. Key responsibilities encompass bookkeeping, data entry, and reconciliation of accounts. The role ensures timely completion of statutory audits without qualifications and adherence to group reporting requirements. Additionally, the Finance Manager spearheads various projects, collaborates with multiple stakeholders, and drives data analytics for strategic decision-making.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform bookkeeping, data entry, and reconcile accounts payable/receivable and bank statements.
  • Ensure timely payment processing and seek necessary approvals in adherence to the Delegation of Authority.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and manage credit control.
  • Maintain and tag fixed asset schedules.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting, including managing external audit and preparation of AFS.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly forecasting, annual budget planning, and performance analysis.
  • Monitor and control the company’s budget.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reporting decks for management, senior leaders, and board meetings.
  • Utilize the Terra reporting system, perform gap analysis, and ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and other statutory regulations in management reports.
  • Prepare feasibility reports on investment projects, including financial forecasts and sensitivity analysis.
  • Partner with department heads to translate analytical needs into data requirements with clear metrics.
  • Coordinate and lead year-end stock take, including recounting stock variances.
  • Prepare and ensure timely tax reporting and compliance (direct, indirect, and transfer pricing).
  • Continuously review work practices for operational efficiency improvement.
  • Handle various ad-hoc requirements.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
  • ACCA or CPA Singapore equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in audit/tax.
  • Commercial finance analytical experience in the SME consumer/F&B industry is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore Reporting Standards and other accounting regulations.
  • Meticulous and analytical with data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proactive team player.
  • Experience with Hyperion (HFM) and Dynamics 365 ERP applications is a plus.
  • Experience with Lease Accelerator, Xero accounting software and Terra system is a plus.
