About the Role
As Project Manager, you will own all aspects of our integrated security projects, not limited to planning, initiation, execution, monitoring, controlling and closing; ensuring our projects are delivered within budget, timeline, scope and quality. You will build and maintain excellent customer relationships to ensure continued success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Effectively plan, execute, monitor, control & close projects through AVTEL’S project life cycle with relevant project management frameworks & principles.
- Set project timelines and monitor project deliverables.
- Manage project costs & the resolution of any disputes.
- Plan direct and indirect onsite resources.
- Prepare monthly cost forecasts, achieving projected revenues and gross margins.
- Manage customer/ contractor relationships effectively.
- Identify risks and communicate to appropriate internal & external stakeholders. Develop a risk mitigation strategy and a contingency plan.
- Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them.
- Manage occupational health and safety compliance plans including subcontract liabilities.
- Identify opportunities, improvements and solutions and drive continuous initiatives for organizational improvement.
- Demonstrate elevated levels of disciplined, professionalism, ethics, and accuracy in delivery of works under limited timeframe pressures.
Who You Are:
- You have proven project management experience (ideally 4-6 years) in a technical environment or electronic security industry.
- You have sound knowledge of the electronic security systems industry and understanding of system design.
- You enjoy the technical nature of understanding access control & CCTV systems in the data centre space.
- You are certified in Lennel access control or similar.
- You have completed/ are in the progress of completing a project management certification (such as Project Management Institiute), industry-specific certification or equivalent qualification.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate across diverse audiences.
- You are a gogetter, problem solver with exceptional analytical skills.
- You possess strong organisational skills in dealing with multiple issues & various deliverables.
- You have sound commercial knowledge around financial analysis, cost management & project profit margins.
- You have excellent Microsoft Outlook,Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills; solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
- You are resilient, possess a growth mindset & will take on the challenge to deliver results with a keen eye for details.
