As the Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be driving revenue growth through retail and non-retail channels such as, corporate sales, wholesale and golf sales events. You will play a crucial role in expanding our brand presence in the corporate golf market by establishing sales network through and identify new business opportunities. You will take the lead to build and cultivate a long-term relationship with all clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Driving Revenue Growth:
- Create and implement sales strategies to identify key target clients, industries, and partnerships to drive revenue growth
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Drive revenue growth through non-retail channels to achieve sales target with company’s profitability in mind
- Engage potential clients and strategic brand partners to convert sales opportunities
- Manage the day-to-daysupport of sales enquiries and provide prompt response and feedback (within 1 business day)
- Ensure sales’ integrity and maintain price integrity in the market in accordance with company’s policies and SOPs
2. Sales Event Management:
- Plan, lead and execute golf sales events to achieve KPIs and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, commercial, retail operations, and technical support, to ensure efficient planning and excellent execution
- Liaise with partners, brand owners and service provider to ensure seamless coordination
- Oversee sales event as person in charge to ensure smooth operation, work safety, inventory security and customer experience
- Prepare sales event post-mortem to evaluate the performance, outcomes and lessons learned for continuous improvement
3. Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:
- Establish sales network through regular contact with referral sources and generate sales lead
- Build and cultivate a long-term relationship with all clients with an emphasis on good after-sales service
- Build and nurture strong and sincere relationships with priority clients
- Listen to client’s requirements and collaborating with partners to offer personalised solution
4. Budget Management & Performance Monitoring:
- Take ownership of the P&L and budget for all non-retail sales initiatives
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor business development activities against budget and forecast
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on business development initiatives, successes, and challenges
5. Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with other Heads of Department
s, promoting creativity and collaboration. Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall company goals - Engage with internal and external stakeholders to optimize outcomes
- Manage relationships with external parties and ensure compliance with enterprise governance frameworks
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained
- Excellent customer service, going for the extra mile to satisfy customers, minimum 5 years in a best-in-class service industry
- Effective interpersonal/ communication skills to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and a self-starter
- Solid business acumen and track record as sales or business development manager
- Self-motivated and highly persistent in follow-up
- Strong internal relationships, and influence stakeholders of different functions and levels
- Experience in golf industry and ability to play golf is optional but a bonus consideration
