About the SG Cares Volunteer Centre:
It is a key initiative under the SG Cares movement where community-based organisations are designated to be the “SG Cares Volunteer Centres (VCs)”. This initiative started since November 2018. SG Cares VCs are responsible to grow and coordinate volunteer supply, build volunteer management capabilities, and broker partnerships between demand and supply at the town level.


Responsibilities:

You will report to the main lead, and work alongside the C&P team to:

  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders for outreach and volunteering opportunities
  • Follow-up on volunteer enquiries, screen, assess, match and orientate volunteers to the services of the organisation
  • Implement effective volunteer management system including recruitment, training, deployment, reward, retention and recognition
  • Evaluate all aspects of volunteer programmes to ensure effectiveness and implement changes as appropriate
  • Develop strategy and operationalise plans to market the services and volunteering opportunities of the organisation to community and corporate partners
  • Update and maintain content of corporate website and social media platforms
  • Monitor digital platforms on information and updates on SG Cares VC and partners
  • Prepare quarterly Progress reports

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in mass communication, human resources, social studies or equivalent; relevant field will be desired and/or
  • At least 1 – 2 years of working experiences in relevant fields / sector or has interest in community relations work
  • Understand community relations work and enjoy working in a hybrid environment
  • Keen and a good flair in digital communications tools
  • Good written and verbal communications – no fear of people engagement at all
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers from varying organisations and companies
  • Able to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision as well as respecting team work and dynamics
