MANAGER

Tnc General Construction Pte. Ltd.

  • Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with subcontractors in accordance of project schedules and contract requirements.
  • Manage budget and expenditure of the project to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Manage resources required on site.
  • Manage workplace safety in accordance to safety and health regulations.
  • Monitor quality of construction to ensure compliance with building control regulations.
  • Monitor the progress of construction to ensure it adheres to the project timeline.
  • Negotiate with relevant parties to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Plan work schedules to ensure project plans are carried out as planned.
  • Prepare reports to track the progress and cost of the project.
  • Prepare tenders and contract bids.
  • Supervise site labour force to ensure project operations comply with standards and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Senior Project / Project Manager.
  • Responsible for all day-to-day construction, operational and administration activities at sites.
  • Responsible to client and Project Manager for construction as scheduled.
  • Responsible for preparation of planning and progress report every week and report to Project Manager and client.
  • Monitors progress closely, identify problem areas and initiate action plans and involve Project Manager when necessary.
  • Conduct weekly progress meeting with project team.
  • Coordinate activities of various disciplines during construction phase.
  • Control activities of sub-contractors from the point of view of productivity, safety, regulations, quality and schedule.
  • Implement safety and quality awareness.
  • Keeps site discipline at the highest levels.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience as a construction manager in a Marine Shipyard or Oil & Gas Industry
  • Good management and leadership skills
  • Able to handle stress and pressure
  • Adaptable to fast paced work environment, able to work under pressure, able to finish assigned work on time
  • Proactive, good communicative interpersonal skills, able to coordinate with different discipline staff and work well in a team.
