We are seeking a skilled Data & AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the development and deployment of scalable and optimized AI/machine learning (ML) models. The role focuses on working with large volumes of real-time, unstructured data to build AI/ML solutions that transition from theoretical models to practical applications. The Data & AI Engineer will also run performance tests, troubleshoot, and ensure smooth operationalization of these models in a production environment while leading and overseeing project teams towards completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI/ML Model Development & Optimization: Design, develop, and optimize AI and machine learning models for real-time applications. Build algorithms for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to manage large volumes of unstructured data.
- Model Deployment:Work closely with data scientists to deploy AI/ML solutions from theoretical models to production-ready systems. Collaborate with software engineers to ensure proper integration of models within relevant platforms.
- Performance Testing & Debugging:Run experiments to assess the performance of deployed models in real-time environments. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that may arise during deployment, ensuring model reliability and scalability.
- Collaboration & Cross-functional Work:Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, applying your expertise in statistics, data science, and programming. Work closely with data engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive AI solution delivery.
- Technology & Platform Support:Stay up to date with the relevant software platforms and infrastructure necessary for deploying machine learning models. Ensure compatibility and seamless integration with the firm’s technical stack and production systems.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Financial Services (either industry or consulting and appropriate to your level). Preferably a year of consulting experience in any of the Big 4 or consulting firms.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Strong experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for large, unstructured data sets.
- Solid understanding of AI/ML model deployment practices, including cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience running model performance tests, identifying bugs, and implementing solutions in production environments.
- Knowledge in statistics, data science, and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team setting.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Strong experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for large, unstructured data sets.
