Job Description
Manage and lead the day-to-day aspects of vessels’ technical operation matters; including but not limited to unplanned / emergency breakdowns repairs, planned maintenance activities / drydocks and requisitions from vessels with cost control measures in mind.
Monitor vessels’ class and mandatory certs and surveys; arrange and attend to them when due.
Supervise and support Port Engineer and Chief Engineers in maintaining and running shipboard machineries.
Undertake any other related assignments as and when required.
Qualifications and Capabilities.
Diploma in Marine Engineering or its equivalent.
Relevant working experience; as a Technical Superintendent in home trade bunker barges; experience in vessel new construction projects is an added advantage.
Knowledgeable and have a good grasp of marine engineering and shipboard systems.
Proactive, responsible, reliable, cost conscious and a good team player.
Good command in spoken and written English; conversant in spoken Bahasa Indonesia and Chinese is a helpful working tool.
