DIRECTOR

Xiang Ju Singapore Pte. Ltd.

  • We are looking for a Executive Director to maximize the company’s operational capabilities and ensure customer retention. You will play a key role in developing strategies to ensure customer satisfaction, managing the chef team, and overseeing daily cross-functional activities. As an experienced department head, you should have broad business knowledge, the ability to set and manage expectations, monitor progress, and possess excellent risk and dependency management skills.
  • Executive Director will plan and organize the work in collaboration with the teams ,ensuring that the food and service delivers meets the needs of the customer.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily work activities of operations teams.
  • Approve or prepare operations budgets, renovation schedules, and other reports.
  • Meet with operations team leaders to discuss issues related to operations, supply chain, or distribution.
  • Manage workloads of various operations teams and delegate work as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Manage the kitchen team and ensure quality control of ingredients and dishes.
  • Resolve operations-related work problems such as supply delays, quality control, or customer issues.
  • Cultivate and maintain working relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace safety guidelines.
  • Meet with other departments to receive and provide updates on operations-related issues.
  • Identify areas for improvement in operations and develop plans and systems to promote productivity.
  • Provide work guidance and advice to subordinates and coach other colleagues.
  • Support the HR department in staff management, hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions.
  • Must be available at all times and attend early morning meetings and late-night meetings.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of management experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Fluent in Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms with staff from China.
  • Extensive management experience in the Chinese food industry and a deep understanding of Chinese culture. Multinational experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stress effectively.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an executive chef.
  • Overseas working experience is a plus.
