We're hiring a Research Associate/Research Fellow to be part of our project in developing a software that employs artificial intelligence to manage ship and crew risks.
Key Responsibilities:
The Research Associate/Research Fellow will work on a project to conduct the research on development of an AI-Driven Ship Safety Management System. The roles of this position include:
- Develop an AI-driven software to manage ship and crew risks
- Conduct data analysis on the mental and physiological well-being of seafarers
- Develop data-driven methods and models to predict and assess the health of seafarers
- Integrate the developed models and indexes into an online system
- Contribute to manuscript writing, policy paper writing and patent applications related to the project
Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree (for Research Associate) or PhD Degree (for Research Fellow) in Software Engineering, Data Science, Risk Management, Maritime Studies or related field
- Expertise in any of the following skills, priority will be given to those who have multiple skills: Software development and packaging, Machine learning and data analysis and Prior research experience in occupational health and safety
- Knowledge in the maritime industry is an advantage
- Publication track record is an advantage
- Patent application experience is an advantage
- Proficiency in English and programming - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
