Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support management decision-making with in-depth analyses.
- Partner with other department leads in cross-functional teams to execute initiatives and projects.
- Prepare monthly management reports and presentations (including financial and business performance analysis).
- Manage the daily operations of the finance department.
- Oversee the monthly closing of accounts and ensure timely preparation and submission of financial reports to management.
- Prepare and submit annual statutory accounts in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Prepare relevant financial reports and presentations for Annual General Meetings.
- Prepare quarterly GST returns and annual corporate tax filings.
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
- Liaise with external bankers, auditors, tax consultants and corporate secretarial service providers.
- Establish and ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
- Assess current practices and processes, and make recommendations for corrections or improvements.
- Perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Accountancy, or its equivalent, with professional qualification (e.g. CPA, CA)
- More than 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- Experience in managing a team of accounting personnel
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Good problem-solving, analytical and presentation skills
- Team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Xero accounting software and clinics/healthcare industry will be an advantage
