Job Summary

Strategy
The individual is expected to manage at a group wide level:

  • Development and end to end execution of Cash Pricing and Billing initiatives globally
  • Drive pricing and billing product / system enhancement(s) as CPO
  • Commercialise billing system capabilities, revenue and data initiatives
  • This includes working with cross functional stakeholders (Product, Coverage, Technology, COO, CFCC etc) across markets to drive initiatives to grow and protect cash management revenue while adhering to and maintaining strong governance, risk and control oversight.

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.Role models effective change behaviour by being flexible and adaptive while maintaining focus.
  • Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness, where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy compliant conduct is the norm.
  • Stimulate an environment where ownership, forward planning, prioritisation, deadline management and streamlined workflows and collaborative and efficient work practices are the norm.
  • Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of critical function stakeholders and ensure they are competent, suitably skilled and qualified for their roles, ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks

Risk Management

  • Take the initiative regarding regulatory, reputational and ethical matters, taking the initiative for providing proactive advice to stakeholders as identified. Coach and manage the team in these matters and ensure they are adequately trained in and cognisant of regulatory, reputational and ethical risks
  • Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct and develop a robust culture to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among team members.
  • Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to the job holder’s attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate escalation to Regional / Country Banking Heads and Group/governance committees, as appropriate

Governance

  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Role Responsibilities

Drives the origination and execution of Cash Pricing and Billing initiatives globally

  • Identify pricing opportunities from data insights
  • Work closely with country cash product partners to review opportunities to grow fee and interest
  • Support the execution / remediation of initiatives
  • Tracking revenue returns from fee initiatives

Support Pricing and Billing system enhancement

  • Identify enhancement with country product and sales partners based on client needs and industry trends.
  • Partner with Tech and Ops teams to streamline the process to improve operational efficiency around pricing and billing workaround

Commercialise Pricing and Billing system, revenue and data initiatives

  • Increase Pricing and Billing system and data usage from country stakeholders
  • Ongoing maintenance of the Bridge page
  • Develop marketing materials – e.g. broadcast communications, video and external client material
  • Monitor market trends and competition to drive competitiveness

Support Governance and Risk Management

  • Maintain pricing governance guidelines
  • Collaborate with Risk to review controls and mitigate identified risk
  • Manage Service Performance Reviews with internal outsourced partners

Ideal Candidate:

  • University Graduate
  • 8 years of banking experience
  • Preferably in Corporate and Investment Banking Cash Management Product Management roles, Sales or RM profile/roles. Alternatively, candidates with strong experience working with Tech and Ops with core Cash background.
