The Trading Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the company’s analysis of refined products. This position involves providing comprehensive analytical support to the organization and collaborating closely with traders, risk manager, and other key stakeholders. The analyst will ensure accurate valuation and risk assessment of the organization's refined products positions, contributing to informed decision-making and effective risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide analysis and insights on refined products such as Gasoline, Middle Distillate, Fuel Oil, etc..
- Track global refined products markets, and monitor price movements, premiums, spreads, and key market indicators to identify potential trading opportunities
- Evaluate and forecast global and regional refined products demand and supply based on factors such as economic growth, refinery turnaround, cargo movements, government policies, etc..
- Record deals into the trading system and maintain daily monitoring and reporting of market, credit, and operational risks.
- Compile market reports, maintain and update databases.
- Carry out and support other duties assigned by the Company.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in International Trading, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in trading, and market analysis within oil and gas trading company.
- Proficiency in trading platforms, data analysis tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suits.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and maintain trust and integrity within a team.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred.
