Job Engagement: Full Time to start 1 Dec 2024
Job Type: Contract (5-6 months)
Salary range: SGD4,000 to SGD5,000 per month
Role Overview
This role will join the Singapore team and will be responsible for managing a full set of accounts, including day-to-day activities such as accounts receivables, payables, general ledger postings, and fixed asset management. A core part of this role will also involve performing bank reconciliations, ensuring proper coding of general ledger and GST codes, and maintaining the fixed assets register.
You will report to the Finance Manager, and work closely with the rest of the Singapore team.
We are looking for candidates who can start from the end of November 2024, and will prioritize applicants with a current right to work in Singapore that do not require visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Handling a full sets of accounts – handling day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts receivables, accounts payables, general ledger posting and fixed assets
- Bank reconciliation
- Correct coding of the general ledger accounts and GST codes
- Preparing balance sheet schedules and follow up on outstanding items
- Updating the fixed assets register
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end closing
- Ensuring compliance with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS, SFRS and IFRS)
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end management reports and monthly variance and trend analysis
- Providing timely and accurate information to the management on business performance
- Supporting the management in budgeting, forecasting and planning
- Monitoring working capital, e.g. receivables and cash flows
- Reviewing and submitting GST filing to the tax authority
- Liaising with external company secretary, auditors, tax agents and regulatory agents on audit, tax and other related matters
- Assisting in any ad-hoc reporting as may be assigned by Management
Ideal Profile
- The candidate should have a Degree / Diploma in Accounting / Finance or ACCA equivalent / Qualified CPA, with professional qualification recognised by ISCA or any other recognised professional body.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with accounting software, Xero will be advantageous.
