Senior Development Engineer

Pepper Internet Technology Pte. Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Development:Lead the design, development, and testing of new products, systems, or components from concept to final production.
    Develop detailed engineering specifications, design, and technical reports.
    Analyze existing systems to identify improvement opportunities, enhancing product performance, cost-efficiency, or functionality.
  2. Project Management:Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company objectives.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance) to deliver optimal solutions.
    Ensure that projects stay within scope, budget, and meet all technical requirements.
  3. Technical Leadership & Innovation:Serve as a subject-matter expert, providing technical direction and mentoring to junior engineers and team members.
    Drive innovation by exploring and applying new technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
    Conduct research and stay updated on technological advancements relevant to the company's products and services.
  4. Testing & Validation:Oversee and participate in product testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance standards are met.
    Analyze test data and results to refine and optimize designs.
    Work closely with QA and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability and seamless transition to production.
  5. Documentation & Compliance:Prepare and maintain thorough design documentation, including schematics, CAD drawings, and technical reports.
    Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, certifications, and regulations.
    Assist with product certifications and approvals as required.
  6. Team Collaboration:Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure all technical objectives are achieved.
    Coordinate and lead design reviews, technical discussions, and brainstorming sessions.
    Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to stakeholders and management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in product development or a related field, with demonstrated success in leading engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other relevant development tools.
  • Strong understanding of system design, manufacturing processes, and industry-specific technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of products or systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in [specific industry or field: e.g., electronics, automotive, software development, etc.].
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, CE, UL).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (for software-focused roles).
