Position: Cargo Oil Pump Fitter/Technician
Location: Singapore
Roles and Responsibilities
· Perform detailed inspections of cargo oil pumps to identify wear, damage, or malfunction.
· Conduct root cause analysis for pump failures, diagnosing issues with bearings, mechanical seals, impellers, or other components.
· Disassemble pumps for cleaning, inspection, repair and overhaul.
· Replace worn or damaged parts, including bearings, mechanical seals, impellers, and shafts.
· Reassemble pumps according to manufacturer specifications and all components correctly installed.
· Calibrate and test pump components to ensure optimal performance and alignment.
· Utilize precision measurement tools (e.g., micro meters, dial indicators) for inspection and dimensional checks.
· Prepare the overhaul service report.
· Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safe work practices.
Qualifications
· Relevant trade certificate or mechanical/marine engineering studies.
· Hands on experience with inspection, overhauling and repairs of cargo oil unloading centrifugal pumps with capacity range 3000- 3500 m3/hour
· Previous shipyard experience preferred
· Good written communication skills for reports preparation
· Team player and able to communicate to all stakeholders
· Willing to work long, odd hours and during weekends and holidays to perform urgent machinery jobs
