Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audits and safety inspections onboard vessels as required.
- Liaise with government bodies to ensure smooth vessel operations and efficient turnaround in port-related matters.
- Supervise cargo operations to meet agent requirements.
- Assist the Safety Committee in addressing company safety matters and implementing HQ safety protocols.
- Organize monthly safety meetings and prepare reports.
- Support the Head of Department in implementing departmental SOPs diligently.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
Job Requirements:
- Master Mariner with Class 1 Certificate of Competency (COC).
- Experience with tankers preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant shore/base experience.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to work extended hours and during holidays.
