This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Research Entity Head in overseeing and providing leadership on overall management and administration functions within the Research Entity. The incumbent will lead and manage the administration team by providing direction and setting objectives, ensuring internal operations and services are run efficiently within the research entity in compliance with A*STAR’s policies, procedures and guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall administration and operations of the research entity and ensure compliance with the A*STAR’s policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels for alignment of established strategic plans, structures, systems and processes.
- Review and implement improvements in the research entity’s administrative structure and processes to enhance organisational effectiveness and administrative/operations excellence.
- Responsible for the research entity’s financial operations, including financial analysis, budget planning, reporting and monitoring, resource planning, asset and research grant management to ensure financial compliance and optimize budget use.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, working closely with A*STAR Corporate Group divisions such as Human Resources, Finance, and Procurement on related A*STAR’s initiatives.
- Lead and manage the oversight of Enterprise Risk Management, Data Protection, Export Control, Confidentiality Compliance and serve as Business Continuity Coordinator.
Job Requirements:
- Degree from a recognized university, with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
