Responsibilities:
- Responsible for infrastructure network design, implementation, testing, security, managing and maintenance of proposed system
- Configure and administering routing, switching network devices and firewall products (e.g., routers, switches, enterprise firewalls)
- Good understanding of network system, network architecture, routing, switching, firewall and security eg MPLS, basic BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP
- Perform network maintenance and upgrades including patches, hot fixes and security configurations
- Firewall rules maintenance
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Troubleshooting network connections (e.g., Lease Line, Metro-E, MPLS, internet) problem between offices' (local and overseas) and between members at Data Centre(s)
- Proficient in performing network analysis and troubleshooting using network and protocol analyzers
- Work with Security Team on the security requirements
Requirements:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in IT
- Minimum 2-3 years network support experience.
- An analytical mind and ability to work independently.
- Hands on support/troubleshooting in at least Level 2 Enterprise Data Centre Core networks and Offices networks.
- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving efficiency of current networks.
- Proven hands-on experience with administrating Firewall Rules, NAT configuration and Routing.
- Experience with firmware upgrade for firewalls.
- Experience with Cisco IOS upgrade for network switches and routers.
- Good understanding and configuration of VLANs.
- Experience with MPLS management able to understand static and dynamic routing protocols.
- Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds using SNMP and NetFlow / sflow.
- Good documentation skills e.g. update network diagram, rack diagram and inventory list.
- Some Vendor and network project management skills.
- Proven hands-on experience with monitoring and network diagnostics
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP certifications will be an added advantage.
- Experience with small wireless network implementation is desired.
