- To arrange everything to accomplish a voyage such as the appointment of the shipping agent, bunker replenishment, weather routing appointment etc
- To issue voyage instruction to vessel master in accordance to the governing CP
- To check all shipping documents such as pre-stowage plan, B/L
- Handling freight invoice, demurrage/despatch, hire payment and port disbursement accounts and so on
- Communication with vessel’s masters, owners/charterers or brokers, ports agent
- Monitoring the vessel’s movement and performance and report to related parties
- In any dispute against counterparty such as cargo damage or shortage, lay-time, underperformance and so on, to communicate for a settlement based on charter party
- Clerical work such as filing shipping documents, entering voyage data into business applications
Requirements
- Preferably in Maritime studies, degree or diploma or some working experience
- Relevant experience in post fixture claims or has maritime education
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills
- Team player and able to work independently
- Diploma or degree but not essential if got relevant working experience
- Experience in tankers will be advantageous
