Key Responsibilities
- Receive Ingredients: Oversee the reception and inspection of incoming ingredients, ensuring they meet the highest standards of freshness, quality and specification. Verify deliveries against orders, checking for accuracy, proper temperature control and any signs of damage or spoilage.
- Prepare Ingredients: Handle and prepare fresh ingredients to meet high-quality standards. Prepare items based on section allocated.
- Cook & Create: Craft menu dishes by adhering to recipes and quality benchmark. Demonstrate different cooking techniques as required by each dish. Ensure consistent food quality and presentation for every order, prepared with precision and attention to detail.
- Keep it Clean: Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Keep kitchen equipment clean and in good working condition. Practice “clean as you go” in common work areas.
- Work Together: Collaborate efficiently with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation of all dishes.
- Stay Organized: Perform and report on daily stock takes and assist with ordering supplies. Ensure proper handover for the next shift or opening team.
- Uniform & Grooming Compliance: Adhere strictly to company guidelines on uniform care and personal grooming to ensure a polished and professional appearance that aligns with the brand's image.
- Health & Safety: Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for customers and staff.
Requirements:
- Willing to work weekends and Public Holidays
- Familiar with Italian / Western Cuisine
- Min 1 year of experience in cafe kitchen setting
- Strong team player and good interpersonal skill
