Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical understanding of manufacturing solutions, a proven track record in business development, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients. This role is crucial to our efforts to expand our market presence in Singapore and the surrounding region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, and partnerships.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives in Singapore and the region.
- Leverage technical knowledge to understand customer needs and propose customized manufacturing solutions.
- Work closely with the technical team to design and tailor solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, providing ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales agreements, ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development or sales, within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing solutions and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
