Our client is a large logistics company with a history of more than 100 years. They are currently looking to hire a Senior Group Accountant to join their finance team.
The Role
As a key member of the finance team, reporting directly to the finance manager, you will oversee all consolidation activities, including the preparation of management and financial reports. Your role will involve consolidating financial data from all group entities, creating consolidated balance sheets and cash flow statements, and reviewing consolidation journals to ensure proper documentation of elimination entries. You will also assess the financial reports of subsidiaries and prepare comprehensive group financial and management reports.
Additional responsibilities will include budgeting and forecasting, coordinating with auditors, enhancing work processes and internal controls, and ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you should hold a minimum qualification of a Degree in Finance and Accounting (ACCA/CPA will be advantageous) and bring along with you at minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. You are analytical, a quick thinker, with high attention to details. You are organized and have a willingness to learn, with good communication skills and the ability to work with tight deadlines. Prior knowledge is SAP and power BI tools will be advantageous.
