Job Purpose
Assist Front-of-House (FOH) management in providing customer service at any AHL venues and performing FOH services to all customers within corporate guidelines with the objective of providing high service standards.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide high-quality front-of-house services at Arts House Limited venues.
- Function as Venue Officer (as scheduled), delivering excellent customer service to all patrons and visitors.
- Assist managers in maintaining venue standards and ensuring consistency in venue operations.
- Supervise the upkeep and presentation of public areas.
- Support the coordination of special events and gala performances when needed.
- Address and resolve issues or complaints.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Conduct public tours of the venues, as required.
- Provide hospitality services for partners, guests of honor (GOH), and VIPs.
- Maintain the Customer Service counter/front-of-house, including the display of posters, brochures, and other materials.
- Lead in-house tours at AHL venues.
- Manage and supervise casual staff during performances and events.
- Assist the Customer Service Manager with the training of casual staff, as needed.
- Carries out general customer service duties, including reception tasks at the Information Counter.
Qualifications
Educational qualifications
- Diploma with a good pass in English or equivalent work experiences
Experience
- 2 years' experience in customer service or event management
Specific Skills required
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with the public in a friendly and professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, proactive with the capacity to think quickly and solve problems effectively.
- Proficient in spoken English and a second language.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
Note: This is a 2-year contract position. Required to perform shift duties.
