Professor of Physics (Tenured)
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) is hiring a tenured Professor of Physics in the field of Quantum Science and Technology. This is a full-time faculty position based principally in the Division of Physics and Applied Physics at NTU’s School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS), with a minority appointment in NTU’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
NTU (https://www.ntu.edu.sg/) is a research-intensive public university in Singapore, with 35,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. SPMS (https://www.ntu.edu.sg/spms/) is an academic unit in NTU hosting programmes in physics, the mathematical sciences, and related subjects, with around 1000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, 80 faculty members, and 180 research staff.
We are looking for an established scientist with a track record of scientific excellence in the field of Quantum Science and Technology. Both theorists and experimentalists are welcome to apply. The candidate will be expected to assume a leadership role in the Division of Physics and Applied Physics at SPMS, with the aim of making NTU a global leader in this emerging field. The candidate will be expected to lead and work with other Principal Investigators (PIs) to set research directions, oversee recruitment, launch grant proposals, and formfiveulate plans to improve NTU’s research and education in this field.
In addition to research, the candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, as well as administrative activities typical for a tenured full-time faculty position at a leading global university.

Responsibilities:
· Conduct high-quality research that makes substantive, internationally-recognised contributions to progress in Quantum Science and Technology.
· Participate in scientific activities that help raise NTU’s profile in Quantum Science and Technology, such as the securing of competitive research grants.
· Teach and perform course development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
· Perform academic supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.
· Undertake administrative and/or leadership roles, and other service-related responsibilities assigned by the School and/or University.
Requirements:
· PhD in Physics or a related discipline.
· Strong record of research, including peer-reviewed publications in reputable international journals.
· Good track record of securing competitive research grants.
· Good track record of supervising and mentoring research staff, PhD students, and other researchers.
