The Data Centre Operator will monitor and maintain the data centre's equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly. This includes performing regular checks, fixing issues, and supporting the IT team with daily tasks.
Main Responsibilities:
• Keep an eye on data centre systems (servers, networks, etc.) to ensure they work properly.
• Troubleshoot and fix basic issues with hardware, networks, or software.
• Help with data backups and make sure the system is secure.
• Assist in installing and updating equipment.
• Record activities, issues, and performance data.
• Follow safety and security rules for equipment and data.
Requirements:
• Basic knowledge of IT or related fields (experience or degree).
• Some experience in IT support or working in a data centre is a plus.
• Understanding of computer hardware, networks, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, allowance provided
