Job Description & Requirements
To make detailed Ship Repairs cost estimates and preparation of quotations based on owners specification technical documents and inspection of Vessels. Preparation of Invoices and negotiation of the prices with the owners Representative(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Estimating:
- Preparation of detailed/ accurate estimates and the final bid document (tender) for all types of vessels.
- Inspection of the vessels whenever required and discussion of technical/commercial details with Owners Representative.
Invoicing:
- Follow-up Vessel's drydocking and repairs in the yard.
- Discussion of the technical / commercial details with Owner's Representative(s), negotiation and settlement of variation orders and invoice.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Marine, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Training in a reputable Shipyard or Offshore Industry,
- Assertive, courteous personally with good organizational and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English Language both written and spoken, essential.
- Technical background with experience in a similar position in Shipping or Offshore Industry or Sea going experience.
- Occasionally requires overseas travel, travel to shipyards for vessel's inspection and or project discussion.
