- Possess a recognized degree in Civil Engineering with at least twenty years of post-graduation relevant experience and of which at least five years as a Project Director in building projects.
- Provide advice and guidance to Project Managers.
- Monitor and certify payments to suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Ensure sufficient resources for the project team in terms of organization structure/staffing, project financing and machinery investment/rental.
- Resolve any issues that the Project Manager cannot resolve
- Determine staffing and suitability of key personnel in the Project Team, namely Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager.
- Provide technical and engineering support to the Project Managers.
- Identify and assess any foreseeable risks arising from the workplace or work processes.
- Take reasonably practical measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person at the workplace.
- Ensure safe work procedures are implemented to control risks.
- Represent the Organization on important issues pertaining to the project.
- Attend project meetings with clients and consultants.
