VisionPal is seeking a motivated and dedicated Pre-Registration Optometrist to join our team at our Marymount studio. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience and professional development opportunities while delivering high-quality eye care services. Working under the supervision of our experienced optometrists, you will assist in conducting comprehensive eye screenings, managing patient consultations, and providing eyewear recommendations, helping us achieve our mission of improving eye health and providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye screenings, including visual acuity tests, refraction, slit lamp examination, and retina imaging, under supervision.
- Assist in patient consultations, offering personalized advice on eye health management and treatment options.
- Educate clients on proper eye care and recommend suitable eyewear solutions based on their needs and preferences.
- Support in managing patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of screening results and consultations.
- Assist in corporate and community eye screening events as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain a professional, welcoming, and efficient studio environment.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in optometry practices and eye care technology.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Optometry or a related field (or currently pursuing pre-registration).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
