For this role, you are part of the Staffing Team. You play an important role as a trusted partner and advisor to the business, balancing complex trade-offs and ensuring optimal teams are put forward to serve our client work.
We are looking for a motivated Senior Resource Planning Specialist to be part of the firm’s dynamic team. The role will provide a high degree of autonomy and growth opportunities within a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating and people-focused environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with multiple stakeholders on the client-facing side (Consultants through to Partners), as well as Business Functions in SEA and across Asia Pacific – including Finance, HR, PD and Recruiting.
Detailed Responsibilities
1. [~50%] Core Staffing – program management of the Associate Consultant / Senior Associate Consultant (AC / SAC) classes across SEA
- Work closely with the rest of the Staffing team to identify well-balanced case teams across SEA, with direct responsibility for staffing the AC / SAC classes (~80-100 pax)
- Act as single point of contact for staffing chats with the AC / SAC classes
- Facilitate discussions with Partners on team hypotheses for upcoming cases
- Actively plan for and facilitate conversations to ensure individual PD needs are understood and addressed on cases
2. [~30%] Resource Utilization / Capacity Monitoring and Optimization
- Ensure optimum utilization for the overall office; making sure we keep the business running, while concurrently ensuring each of our staff has the right amount of staffing to continue to grow professionally
- Monitor staff balance – track and make appropriate recommendations on headcount and flex programs to achieve and maintain the right balance in overall resource pyramid
3. [~20%] Daily Operations, Innovation and Process Improvement
- Ensure seamless running of day-to-day operations – be part of the driving force to close outstanding tasks within the team’s workflow expediently; work collaboratively with the team to ensure data integrity in Staffing systems for reporting
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset to recommend and implement innovation and revisions to increase efficiency and efficacy of the Staffing team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related discipline or Industrial / Organizational Psychology; MBA or Master’s Degree in a People / Operational Management field would be a plus
- Preferably 6-8+ years of work experience, ideally with experience in a direct staffing role and/or relevant experience in resource management / deployment, talent strategy or demonstrated ability in a role within a top-tier professional services firm, managing multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills – including the ability to effectively engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Balance of being able to think big-picture and providing practical operational support to achieve team outcomes
- Resourceful at finding out-of-the-box solutions to tricky situations
- Fluent with Microsoft Office applications – Excel + PowerPoint essential
- Some light travel in SEA will be required
