We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist who will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure for various projects from initiation to implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and application requirements, and design AWS cloud infrastructure solutions accordingly.
- Plan, deploy, and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and more to support various projects.
- Coordinate the integration of AWS services with on-premises and other cloud platforms, ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow.
- Develop automation scripts using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CLI to streamline deployment, scaling, and management processes.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, data encryption, and network security.
- Ensure infrastructure complies with organizational and industry standards, particularly for public or government sectors.
- Oversee the monitoring of AWS environments using tools like CloudWatch, AWS Config, and third-party solutions to ensure system reliability.
- Perform regular backups, updates, and patch management, and conduct disaster recovery planning.
- Develop and manage budgets for cloud infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effective cloud solutions.
- Monitor cloud spend and optimize the use of AWS services to maximize ROI.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in ICT infrastructure operations, with a focus on AWS services.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure Cloud services, including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS is an added advantage.
- Experience in public/government sector is an added advantage.
