PRB Advisory Specialist, WRB

JOB SUMMARY

  • This role partners with leaders in WRB to deliver performance, reward and benefits outcomes that incentivise and reward the delivery of the WRB strategy and create a performance orientated and innovative culture that emphasizes conduct and sustainability.
  • The incumbent will also manage Frontline Incentive Plan (“FLIP”) used for frontline job families in WRB and work on enhancement of its design, delivery and controls to continue to improve process efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Advisory

  • Trusted advisor on FLIP and reward issues for front line WRB staff.
  • Contribute to the design of FLIP or other WRB structured incentive plans and modelling, implementation and assurance activities and implement the change management initiatives in the country and group via working with key partners in PRB, WRB HR Business Partners and local business stakeholders

Business

  • Establish relationships with key business stakeholders, enabling the identification and understanding of business objectives
  • Monitor the performance and effectiveness of reward policies, programmes and processes in achieving business objectives
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their engagement and sponsorship of the changes in FLIP and overall reward changes

Processes

  • Collaborate with PRB product and process teams to achieve excellence in the implementation of FLIP in WRB across countries, seeking to improve understanding to drive business performance and employee motivation
  • Manage performance and pay review processes in line with the global principles, in partnership with country WRB HRBPs and WRB market heads.
  • Identify, monitor and mitigate any operational risk arising and ensure proper controls are in place and maintained as per the Group’s operational risk framework

People & Talent

  • Coach Performance & Reward Advisory Support colleagues in Chennai, motivating and developing them to achieve high standards of performance

Risk Management & Governance

  • Manage audit and review activities in relation to FLIP and seek to improve effectiveness
  • Work with business and HR process owners to articulate and manage risks through designated risk forums and/or process or product governance committees
  • Work with the Reward Governance team on the alignment of remuneration with regulatory guidance
  • Contribute to governance bodies e.g. draft papers for the Group Reward Plan Committee or its sub-committees

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

8+ years of experience in HR / Consulting.

Preference is for candiadtes with specialization in performance management and rewards in Financial Service domain
