JOB PURPOSE:
To sell and maximize revenue for the restaurant and bar through customer sales and relationships, upselling, excellent event execution, and effective management of groups. Support and liaise, meet with clients, and arrange for social and corporate bookings of restaurant spaces.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To aggressively source new business potential and follow up on a timely basis. To actively promote the outlets as a potential bookings / events venue.
- Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders).
- Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott.
- Assist the management team to develop, implement and execute the revenue, revenue and marketing programs for all outlets.
- To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotating within the different sub departments of the Food & Beverage division or any other department of the hotel as assigned.
- Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events).
- Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests. Coordinate reservation confirmations for special and holiday events.
- To submit to Food and Beverage office the following: monthly outlet report, monthly objective review, trainer’s report and promotions analysis.
- To implement a consistent guest recognition program and maintain a relevant guest database.
- To attend daily pre-arrival meeting, bi-weekly marcom meeting and monthly P&L meeting cum operation meeting.
- To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all Food & Beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and up selling alternatives.
