Job Description for Telecom Engineer
As a Telecom Engineer have good knowledge in Voice, Video and Data communication solutions and technology. Having an experience in related environment is added advantage. Telecom Engineer is responsible for CCTV, ACS (Access Control System), PAGA, Radio, FIDS (Fence intrusion Detection System) Telephone and LAN systems. Required to attend on-site job in plant environment for local and overseas, willing to travel to project site to conduct preventive and corrective Maintenance and pre-commissioning and commissioning works on the systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning of site works before mobilization.
- Review project technical documentations identify, and plan based on scope of work.
- Prior to site activity, study and prepare technical know-how and perform technical task.
- Conduct checking of equipment installation and wiring on site.
- Perform start up, testing and validation of the operation of the system. Perform troubleshooting when required.
- Documentation of testing reports and prepare as-built documentation.
- Conduct training for customers.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to system of PAGA, CCTV, ACS, Radio, FIDS, Telephone and LAN Systems.
- Preparing trip reports, not limited to Preventive and Corrective Maintenance reports.
- The applicant must have the flexibility to work in a rapid changing environment and have a keen interest to travel.
Job Requirements:
- Qualification in electrical / telecommunication engineering or related field. Diploma or Degree holders in Electronics & communication or Computer or Information Engineering.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in large, diverse, and complex projects in the oil & gas industry, with commissioning / site experience preferred.
- Prepared to support maintenance projects on 24/7, standby conditions.
- Able to travel overseas for site deployment.
- Able to work independently and under pressure to ensure good site progress.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, possess good command in written and spoken English.
- Maintenance support Response Time: 8 hours x 5 Days x Next Business Day Standby support.
