Responsibilities:
· Coordinating and managing the shipment of goods to and from various locations
· Ensuring that all shipping operations comply with applicable laws and regulations
· Negotiating contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and other shipping service providers
· Must be a highly organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to network and develop relationships with shipping lines
· Tracking shipments and monitoring delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery
· Communicating with customers and other stakeholders to provide updates on shipment status and address any concerns or issues that arise
· Managing and resolving any shipping-related issues or concerns that arise
· Strong working knowledge of cross-border logistics including import/export and customs clearance
· Collaborating with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure that shipping services meet the needs of the business and its customers
· Managing shipping budgets and ensuring that shipping costs are kept within budgetary constraints
· Able to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
· Identifying opportunities to optimize shipping efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements:
· Diploma/Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
· Minimum 1 year of working experience in sea freight / logistic department/freight forwarding
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with carriers, customers, and other stakeholders
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency with shipping management software and other relevant technology
· Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping, such as those related to safety, security, and hazardous materials
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
· Perform other duties in supply chain as and when may assigned by the management team
