Job Description:

  • Carry out month-end closing tasks, including preparing and reviewing journal entries for the General Ledger (GL).
  • Reconcile various accounts to ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Address and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Manage the addition and disposal of fixed assets, ensuring correct documentation in the financial system.
  • Calculate and record depreciation for fixed assets.
  • Generate detailed reports on fixed asset movements and valuations.
  • Oversee the complete AP process, from invoice handling to payment approval and disbursement.
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements to guarantee timely and accurate payments.
  • Lead AP improvement projects to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve AP-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Assist external auditors during audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Support budget preparation and forecasting by supplying accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Reconcile payments or cheques (from internet banking) with issued payment lists.
  • Follow up on unpresented payments or cheques and update the accountant on any issues.
  • Monitor daily cash position and report findings to the accountant.
  • Reconcile payments and cheques.
  • Answer phone calls and manage administrative tasks.
  • Prepare meeting materials for Board of Directors meetings.
  • Collect mail from designated locations.

Job Requirement:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting or Business from a polytechnic.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
