- The counsellor is to provide counselling support and develop intervention plan for youths, from 12 to 40 years old.
- The ultimate goal is to improve the clients’ psychological and emotional wellbeing and support their counselling issues.
- The counsellor is trained to deal with a wide scope of issues and will be required to work with clients in an individual and group setting.
Job Description (Programme specific)
- To provide individual counselling for clients in need
- To provide group counselling for clients/ families
- To organize and conduct psycho-education workshops and support groups
- To coordinate and run outreach and public education activities relating to mental health
- To network with relevant stakeholders and external organizations
- To conduct analysis of community needs, develop, implement and grow counselling programmes and services to meet the needs of the community
- To plan, execute and evaluate on-going counselling Programmes and services
- To arrange provide supervision for interns, volunteers and staff in their counselling work
Requirements
- Possess a Masters in Counselling; with related qualifications or experience may also be considered
- Have some experience in individual counselling and group work preferably in mental health areas
- Able to work with youths, families and other stakeholders
- Member/ eligible for membership with The Singapore Association for Counselling
- Conversant in English, and preferably, a second language
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Pleasant and strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work as a team as well as independently
- Driven by passion to serve
- Mature and pleasant disposition
Other Responsibilities
- Assist in the various Programmes of C3 as required
- Assist in fund raising, administration and other responsibilities as required
- Any other responsibilities as agreed and assigned
