Position Summary:
- Responsible to work as Principal Electrical Designer
Responsibilities:
- The Principal Electrical Designer shall assist the Lead Engineer/Engineer on the design of drawings, basic calculations, and material take-off and ensure timely execution of deliverables
- Should conversant with PDMS/E3D/PDS/Smart3D. Working knowledge in Smart Plant Electrical will be an added advantage
- The Principal Electrical Designer can develop SLDs, control schemes & wiring diagrams
- Can perform layout design and drafting of cable tray/power/grounding/lighting /lightning protection layouts in AutoCAD/Microstation
- Able to perform basic calculation like cable sizing and lighting. earthing calculations
- Coordination with other discipline drawings and clash checking verification and collection of inputs from site, coordination with site supervisor for verification of site installation of cable routing, lighting and grounding
- Adherence to Quality Management System and mainteance of all squad check drawings / deliverable check lists / check prints
- The Principal Electrical Designer is expected to perform the duties of in a large/medium sized projects
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum experience: 15 years' experience in electrical design in design consultancy firm or in engineering department of process industry firm.
- Familiarity with both international and local codes & standards is required
