Responsibilities:
- Perform as a safety assessor roles for the Permit-To-Work system
- Inspect and rectify any unsafe place of work and unsafe practices.
- Check sub-contractors work to ensure compliance with the relevant statutory Acts and Regulations.
- Liaison with sub-contractors with respect to safety work undertaken by them.
- Assist the WSHO in organizing safety awareness activities such as toolbox meetings, safety orientation, safety-related training, safety promotional activities, etc.
- Ensure that the issuance of personal protective equipment is properly recorded and documented.
- Ensure supervisors and workers are following safe work procedures compliance.
- Assist to investigate all site incidents/accidents & implement corrective measures to prevent a recurrence.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferably in the LTA project/ building construction industry.
- Possess a Certificate in Safety Coordinators Course from approved institutes, Confined space, and Work at Height Assessor certificates
- Able to work independently with a positive attitude
- Possess good leadership and organizing abilities
- Able to join with short notice
