THIS IS A 2-YEAR RENEWABLE/CONVERTIBLE POSITION
Role Overview:
As the Executive for Infrastructure and Sustainability at Defence Collective Singapore (DCS), you will support the development, management, and sustainability performance of DCS infrastructure projects. This role involves assisting in long-term master planning, ensuring operational efficiency of facilities, and delivering sustainability initiatives. You will report directly to the Infrastructure & Sustainability Senior Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure & Facilities Planning:Collaborate with the Senior Manager and Director to assist in the master planning, development, and engineering of DCS infrastructure facilities and sustainability projects.
Contribute to the formulation of strategies for the development of new and existing facilities, aligning with DCS’s future growth plans.
- Sustainability Reporting & Management:Implement DCS’s sustainability strategies, including setting and operationalizing roadmaps for energy, water, waste, and carbon management.
Work on sustainability reporting projects, aligned with the Singapore Green Plan, including data collection, analysis, and dashboard creation for sustainability performance tracking.
- Project Management & Engineering:Assist with the management and tracking of engineering projects, such as Green Mark, Super Low Energy Building, and Positive Energy Building certifications and Infrastructure upgrading projects.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee infrastructure enhancements, focusing on sustainability aspects.
- Operations Support:Ensure that all facilities/infrastructure operations (including sustainability, business continuity, workplace safety, and exhibition/museum space management) are executed efficiently.
Lead operational activities in utilities, waste, and carbon management to meet DCS’s sustainability targets.
- Stakeholder & Change Management:Work with various internal and external stakeholders to align operational objectives with sustainability goals.
Assist in driving change management strategies to support sustainability initiatives within DCS.
- Ad-hoc Duties:Undertake additional projects or tasks as required to support DCS infrastructure and sustainability goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Degree or Diploma in Built Environment, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or related disciplines from a recognized institution.
- Ideally, 3 years of experience in engineering and sustainability.
- Passionate about sustainability, climate change, and energy/resource management.
- Knowledge of BCA Green Mark and PUB Water Efficiency Management Plan.
- Familiarity with global sustainability frameworks such as UN SDGs and GRI is advantageous.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach to managing tasks.
