- To prepare project workflow and timeline to ensure that the project objectives are met;
- To lead and prepare the obtaining of project funding/s
- To manage and work with project team in the tender preparation and procurement of project consultant/s
- To manage and ensure the timely delivery of investigation and survey works recommended by project consultant/s;
- To identify potential design, construction related issues and/ or contractual disputes and provide appropriate solutions
- To resolve technical, design and construction issues with project consultant/s;
- To manage project consultant/s in delivering the Detailed Design on time and in accordance with the project timeline;
- To liaise with authorities and stakeholders to ensure approvals and/or no objections are obtained for the project commencement of project;
- To manage project consultant/s and contractor/s in completing the construction works on time and in accordance with the project timeline
- To ensure the project consultant/s and contractor/s conduct pre-construction review sessions e.g. Value Engineering, Design for Safety Review/s, etc;
- To review project progress claims/ project related payments along with the relevant support personnel, to assess if there are any discrepancies and to comment and verify accordingly;
- To assess the recommendations put up by project consultants on any extension of time and/ or variation order and decide whether to put up for management approval as a variation order.
Qualification:
- For Infrastructure Projects – Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a University recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) and/or accreditation recognized by the Professional Engineers Board.
- At least 5 years of practical experience in the management of building (e.g. new building, R&R and A&A projects) or infrastructure (e.g. road, drain, sewers, services diversion) projects with contract value of $5 million and above.
- The PM must be familiar with PSSCOC.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience or involvement in Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) for project delivery and built environment industry.
- The candidate should possess a strong, mature and proven ability to organize, manage and motivate a project team. The candidate must be able to work well with stakeholders and exercise good judgement in relation to project management and construction matters, including good knowledge of the Construction Contract.
